I’m so glad you’ve found us. I’m Samantha, the founder & creator of this space you’ve found yourself in. I’m a makeup artist and bridal beauty specialist. The Collective is space for other industry professionals and myself to come together with mutual respect and passion for the craft, to give you all of the knowledge and guidance you may need. There’s some information about how this came to be on my “about” page.

I wanted to create something that was timeless and classic, something that would never go out of style. I bring that same energy to my clients and every photo-worthy event in their lives.

I must admit that I have always been a girly girl. I have loved makeup and all things pretty for my entire life. So it was no surprise to anyone in my family when I entered the beauty industry. For years, I have been a part of weddings and seen my skills grow and grow. Not only did my artistry improve, but I found my love for the craft deepening as I was able to explore my creativity and truly trust my skill. I loved being a part of a bride’s special morning, or an extra pair of hands on set of a shoot. But more than anything, I found that I loved natural beauty even more than high glamour.

This may sound backwards for a makeup artist, but I found my true love of makeup in minimalism. Simple shapes, natural tones, and timeless beauty. As my artistry grew, so did the potential for building a business. But I knew I wanted something different. I wanted something personal, something special. I wanted to break free from the stereotype of the ultra trendy or girly, and build a mature and timeless brand that clients could depend on, built on professionalism and passion. I also wanted to surround myself with industry pros who felt similar to the way I did. And then The Collective was born.
